The Forsyth County Public Information Office is now streaming more county meetings live each month. The Board of Commissioners, Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals meetings are all streaming live on the county web site at www.forsythco.com.

"This is a service we felt was very important to offer to the people of Forsyth County," said Board of Commissioners Chairman Jack Conway. "Now those unable to attend meetings in person can watch them live or archived from anywhere they have access to the Internet."

The Board of Commissioners meetings stream live every first and third Thursday of the month beginning at 5:00 pm. The Planning Commission meetings occur the last Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm and the Zoning Board of Appeals meetings stream the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm.

In addition to live streaming, all of the meetings, as well as specialty programs, are archived on the Web site for viewing at your leisure. Some of the specialty programs currently available include the opening of the Sawnee Mountain Preserve, the Cumming-Forsyth County Day event and more. Check the web site periodically for future programs such as the Public Safety Complex’s "topping off" event as well as the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Coal Mountain Park Community Building.

To view these programs, simply visit the Forsyth County web site and click on the FcTv icon on the left-hand side of the home page. Media Player 9 or newer is required to view the videos. A link to download Media Player is provided for those without it currently.

Additionally, the Board of Commissioners meetings are broadcast via tape delay on Adelphia’s Channel 4 on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8:00 pm, and the Planning Commission meetings air on Wednesdays at 8:00 pm.
