The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office announced its third large drug bust in four months today.
The bust happened Sunday afternoon after deputies witnessed drugs being taken from hidden locations inside the wheels of a Texas tour bus Sunday afternoon at a garage located at the intersection of Hwy 9 and Twin Lakes Drive, in Forsyth County.
The drugs were loaded into a Ford Expedition and driven to a house at 305 Pony Tail Drive in the City of Milton. The suspects were later witnessed loading cash into hidden compartments on the top of the tour bus. It was at this point the Sheriff’s Deputies simultaneously raided both locations and recovered approximately 100 pounds of cocaine with a street value of $1-2 Million, plus over $1 Million in cash.

A total of 5 arrests have been made so far. All five of the suspects are illegal aliens.
The tour bus was operated by a company in Texas. Three of the five arrests were employees of the garage, which was open and in plain view during this operation.
When asked where the drugs were headed, Sheriff Paxton stated he does not believe the drugs were intended for distribution in Forsyth County, but multiple locations along the east coast. Paxton commented that Atlanta was an ideal distribution hub for drugs arriving via Interstate 20 from Texas and Mexico, and Forsyth County might be seen as a safe place for transactions due to its relatively low crime rate.
