The Forsyth-Cumming Qualifying Tournament for the Optimist International Junior Golf Championships (OIJGC) will be held at Countryland Golf Course on Monday, June 2nd, 2008.

Winners (and other participants who qualify) in each age group will be eligible to advance to the GA District Tournament at Bridgemill Athletic Club in Canton, GA on June 23rd.  The winners there qualify to play in the International Jr Golf Championships in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida on July 24th – August 3rd, 2008 

Last year, 7 junior golfers from our club participated in the GA District tournament and one went all the way to the International Championship.

The fees to send the winners on to the championships are paid for by the Optimist clubs.
