Please join us in congratulating Polo Member Spencer Sappington on his recent induction into the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame.  Spencer was inducted as part of the Class of 2008 in a moving ceremony at the Augusta Marriott Conference Center on January 12th.  His many golf achievements include being the only golfer to win the Georgia Senior Amateur Championship four times, most recently in 2007.

Spencer joins a long list of Georgia golf luminaries in the Hall of Fame, such as Davis Love, Jr., Davis Love, III, Larry Nelson, Nancy Lopez, Rosie Jones and the immortal Bobby Jones, just to name a few.  Joining Spencer as 2008 inductees were renowned teaching pro Jack Lumpkin and Georgia golfing great Bunky Henry.
