The Little Mill Mustangs came out Tuesday evening determined to show their fans that they still had some fight left.  With their best offensive performance of the year the Mustangs romped to 30-8 victory over Otwell.  The offense was led by the rushing attack of Jerret Paige (1 TD) and Drew Hayles.  Harris Roberts connected with Tyler Thomas and Logan Shook for a pair of  touchdown passes, and Thomas returned a punt for a long touchdown giving the Mustangs the lead 14-8, and the Mustangs never looked back.  Roberts connected with Matthew Cianciolo for several receptions including two 2 point conversions for the Mustangs.  The Mustang offensive line controlled the line of scrimmage and opened huge running lanes for Jerret Paige and Drew Hayles.  The O-line was led by Alex Dube, Cooper Shanks, Colby Gossett, Christian Coussan, Clay Barton, Nick Dawalt, Rick Adle, and Nathan Heard.

The defensive effort for the Mustangs was equally as impressive through out the game, anchored by Paige, TJ Denny and Peyton Holbrooks.  Several key tackles kept the Bulldogs in check all game long.  Led by Jabari Ryles, Hector Coral, Elijah Francis, Caleb Brown, Nick Roth, Michael Henderson, Brandon Blackstone and Derek Barker, the defense dominated the 2nd half.

In the extra quarter there was plenty of offensive action as well, Jacob Gardner and Chandler McDougal had several good runs and Brooks Blevins ended the offensive explosion by completing a touchdown pass to Cianciolo.  The defense in the extra quarter continued its dominance causing havoc in the backfield for the Bulldogs.  Caleb Stowers, Bogdan Negru, Justin Powell, Mason McMullen and Leo Mazuran all got into the action contributing on several plays.

LMMS would like to thank Ronnie McNeese and football coaches of Bennett Park for moving their practices to allow Little Mill to play their final game of the season at Bennett Park.  Little Mill has played 7 games at 6 different parks this season.

Tuesday Oct 7th  the Mustangs finish their season with their final game against North Middle at Bennett Park at 5:30pm.
