The City of Cumming Parks and Recreation Department will hold open registration for Youth Basketball from October 8^th-28^th for Ages 5-12, and continuing through November 2^nd for ages 13-16.

Sign up early as registration will be limited, and on a first come-first served basis. Practices will begin on November 15^th, with games starting December 1^st.

Ages 5-6 Little Rookies meet weekly for 1 hour, Saturday Oct 27^th - Sat Dec 8^th. Little Rookies is a clinic format, where kids will learn the basics, and fundamental skills of basketball. Cost $45

Other age groups are as follows, with the age control date of January 1, 2008:

7&8
9&10
11&12
13&14
15&16

Coaches Needed!

Volunteer coaches are an integral part of the departments youth basketball league. If you are interested in coaching, please drop by the department office to pick up an application.

Sign ups will be at the City of Cumming Recreation Office, 410 Pilgrim Mill Road, Cumming GA 30041

Mon-Fri Oct 8-28^th 8:30-5:00
Sat October 13^th 9:00-12:00
extended to Nov 2^nd for ages 13-16 only

Cost for all age groups 7-16 is $95

The dates on this website state that basketball registration continues through Oct 28. However, no one was at the specified location on Sat Oct 27. Will someone be available on Sun Oct 28? Hello Robert, I am very sorry about the confusion. I am not sure what the website has listed concerning our basketball registration. I was a very long time ago when I sent them the requested information and that information was copied and pasted directly from our 2007 Fall and Winter brochure. With that being said, however, our registration for youth basketball for the ages of 7 - 12 years old ended on Friday October 26th. You will need to call our main number at 7707812030 as soon as you can on Monday morning (our office opens at 8:30 AM) to check availability. I am sure there were a few spots left but I am also sure they will fill up quickly. Thank you,

I too looked at this site a week ago to see if I had time to sign my son up as I wouldn't have been able to do it until this weekend and saw that I had until the 28th. Now trying to sign him up and it looks as though, I'm too late. I've left a message on the main number as noted above to see if I can get him into a spot. I appreciate any help, as he loves to play and we were unable to sign up until this weekend. He is 11 and played last year, Drake Lively.
