At their January 19 meeting, the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners recognized Linda Whittle for her years of dedicated service as a board member for the Department of Family and Children Services.
Whittle served on the Department of Family and Children Services’ board from 1991 through 2011, and also served as chair of the board.
“The Department of Family and Children Services plays an important role in serving the needs of our community’s families and children,” Commission Chairman Jim Boff said. “It is dedicated individuals such as Ms. Whittle who truly make a difference in the lives of those the organization serves.”
The Board of Commissioners and Department of Family and Children Services Board members presented a plaque to Whittle in recognition of her service.
