Register to Vote by February 6 for March 6 Presidential Preference Primary/Special Election

The voter registration deadline for the March 6 Presidential Preference Primary/Special Election is Monday, February 6. Forsyth County residents wishing to register to vote or to change their name and/or address on the voter registration list may do so at the Forsyth County Voter Registrations and Elections Office, located in the County Administration Building at 110 E. Main Street (Suite 200) in Cumming. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

A Voter Registration Application may also be downloaded from the county Web site.

To be eligible to vote in the March 6 election, a Voter Registration Application must be completely filled out and either USPS postmarked or otherwise delivered to the Forsyth County Voter Registrations and Elections office no later than 4:30 p.m. on Monday, February 6.

The March 6 election includes the statewide Presidential Preference Primary, a countywide Special Election to vote on the Sunday Sales of Package Alcohol Referendum within the county, and a citywide Special Election to vote on the Sunday Sales of Package Alcohol Referendum within the city. All Forsyth County registered voters are eligible to vote in the countywide Special Election, but only those voters who live within the city limits of Cumming are eligible to vote in the citywide Special Election.
