As we all now know, outdoor water use in Forsyth County has been prohibited, including watering lawns and washing vehicles. Residents are strongly encouraged to heed this directive, as there are penalties for not doing so.

Failure to comply with outdoor watering restrictions will result in:
  • First offense: written warning
  • Second offense: a citation to appear in Magistrate Court, with fines up to $100 and up to 60 days in jail
  • Third offense: same as second offense, plus disconnection of service

Please check www.forsythco.com for updates on this situation. For any questions please call the Forsyth County Water and Sewer Department at 770-781-2160.
