Last year the citizens of Forsyth elected a commission to be responsive to their concerns. They have taken action to slow the  amount of building until the infrastructure can catch up. I hope they continue the moratorium for as long as necessary.

I'm very concerned that a builder and land owner would threaten to sue because the county would not bow to their wishes to rezone. That's why we elect our officials: to look out for their constituents not the special interest groups.
We can not even get a satisfactory traffic study done for the Lambert High School due to restricted funds. Why should another development be allowed when the county cannot meet the needs that exist?

Another critical need is for water. If they continue at the present rate of building, how will we be able to get water unless we pay an exorbitant rate to the city of Cumming if they are even able to provide it?

I would like to see a class action countersuit on behalf of the citizens of Forsyth brought against the builders and developers who want to sue the county and tie up funds that are needed for roads and jails.

Sincerely,
Watson Swope
