Forsyth County's Total Water Ban To Be Lifted as of Saturday Morning

A statement just issued by Forsyth County says that the county’s outdoor water use ban will be lifted as of Saturday, June 17...

According to a statement just released by the County, Forsyth County Board of Commissioners Chairman Jack Conway announced at Thursday’s commission meeting that the county’s outdoor water use ban will be lifted as of Saturday, June 17. The county will revert to following the state-mandated ban, which it had been under for the past two years.

Water tank levels in the county have risen, returning to normal operating capacity, since the ban went into effect on Sunday, June 11, allowing the ban to be lifted.

Forsyth County’s outdoor watering restrictions, following the state outdoor water use schedule for non-drought conditions, will be as follows:

Even-numbered addresses (house numbers ending with the number 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 or no house number): Outdoor water use is allowed on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Odd-numbered addresses (house numbers ending with the number 1, 3, 5, 7 or 9): Outdoor water use is allowed on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

No outdoor watering is to occur on Fridays.

County officials stress that these regulations must be strictly adhered to in order to avoid returning to a total outdoor water use ban. The county will continue to monitor outdoor water use and enforce the restrictions.
