FORSYTH COUNTY, Georgia – During their November 1 meeting, the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners adopted a revised penalty schedule for those found in violation of the outdoor watering restrictions.

Effective Friday, November 2, the penalties for outdoor water restriction violations shall be as follows:

• First offense: $100 fine
• Second offense: $1,000 fine, plus disconnection of water service (with a $25 reconnection fee)
• Third and subsequent offense: $1,000 fine, removal of water meter (with a $500 reconnection fee), and the recommendation of no less than two (2) days in jail
