I just drove by the new mall, down from BJ and they had sprinklers on.
Just noticed a Home Owner in Polo Golf & CC, have installed shrub, trees and other landscape.
Why would the County not discourge this kind of work at this time. Some of us go out of our way to conserve and some just do not care, it is what "I want to do, and what I can afford"
I think we all need to be a little more conservative with our water use, not just with our yards, but inside as well, we are so wasteful, and it has been a long time coming for us all to realize we can't take water for granted!
Yes,,,,folks need to be careful with this water consevation , in their area;or any area that seems to be very low! Water is more precious than most realized til now! Maybe ,just water their own small indoor plants for now!..
I think we need to be a tad more conservative about water hook up permits. With thousands of dollars worth of flowers and trees dying for lack of water, it just does not make sense to continue to continue building. Do we have to conserve our way into a desert to provide water for new construction such as a NEW CAR WASH?? I just can't believe the BOC oked building a NEW CAR WASH when water is so short.
So how much do we fine them for such irresponsible decisions????

How long have you lived in Georgia? I think it’s ridiculous. People scarf up the resources, build all these houses, etc. and wonder why we don’t have any (edited) water? I’ve caught a clue. I’ve lived here for almost 27 years right down from the Governor off of West Paces Ferry. I have seen 2-3 droughts - I’m telling you, this one is due to the fact there is over population and environmentally ignorant people. I think it is scary but do not feel sorry for anyone. You cannot disagree that the media has blown this out of control…people want to feel sorry for themselves when this has been completely self-inflicted. We have had water restrictions for years now. What’s new? You need to catch a freaking clue.
Also I worked for the democrat who ran against this looser of a governor. Sonny Perdue is such a (edited) crook. He is a hypocrite to the max. He is a Sunday school teacher, prays for rain, and doesn’t allow liquor in the Governor’s mansion yet he has back room deals that make him a load of money… this is information from inside his office!
This sounds great. Let's see it being "enforced".
