Georgia DOT announces a new traffic signal on the State Route 400 at Martin Road in Forsyth will likely begin testing tomorrow, May 12th and weather permitting should be operational next Thursday, May 17th, 2007.

“DOT crews will begin testing the signal tomorrow. If testing goes well the signal will be operational Thursday,” explained DOT Communications Officer Teri Pope.

If weather is inclement, the signal will be turned on Monday, May 21, 2007.  DOT and the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office will monitor the area to ensure that drivers are following the new stop situation.

Pope concluded, “Please slow down through the area and use extra caution until you get familiar with the new traffic signal.”
