Smart Growth Forsyth County is holding it's monthly meeting this Tuesday, August 19th at the Bridle Ridge Clubhouse beginning at 715pm.

Agenda items include:

·        Update on Harrison Park / Lauth Development / Status of traffic engineering for Caney Road

·        News on Mimms/Grove Park

·        Identifying Central & North Forsyth SGFC options

·        Fund Raising Ideas

Smart Growth Forsyth County is made up of a group of Forsyth County homeowners who volunteer their time to:

-    Promote smart, responsible, well planned and balanced growth;

-    Promote an “infrastructure first” approach to development;

-    Emphasize a sustainable mix of residential, commercial, green space and hard space;

-    Work to ensure projects are developed in concert with the affected communities;

-    Work to ensure that projects are respectful and inclusive of the environment, and address public health, welfare and safety;

-    Work to ensure projects are oriented to the sustainable, long term economic health of the county.

ALL ARE INVITED TO ATTEND!

Getting there: From GA 400 exit 13 (Hwy 141), go south 4-5 miles, passing through several lights. Bridle Ridge will be on your right.  The clubhouse is immediately on your right at the NW corner of HWY 141 and Bridle Ridge Drive.   If you miss the turn and Hwy 141 expands to four lanes, you've gone about a half-mile too far!

Smart Growth endorsed Brian Tam. I don't think I'll be taking them too seriously from now on. I personally think they sold out to him for a vote. That doesn't say much about their credibility.

Their credibility was further damaged by the fact they chose Jerry Wickliffe, a man who plead guilty to bid rigging, as moderator for their debates. Then they issued a press release stating they condoned his lying to one of the candidates. Sorry, SGFC. Nobody's paying any attention to you any more.
