Phil Faulkner is the Republican candidate in the July 15, 2008 election for Coroner of Forsyth County. He attended Darton College and graduated from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service, and is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer with Ingram Funeral Home. He has previously served as Deputy Coroner in Forsyth County after having been certified as such by the Georgia Coroner's Training Council. He is running against the incumbent candidate Lauren MacDonald.
Mr. Faulkner and his wife Linda have lived in Forsyth for ten years. They have three daughters and one granddaughter. Mr. Faulkner has been very active in the community. He is currently Senior Warden of the Mt. Zion Lodge #316, a Junior Steward of the Lafayette Lodge #44, and Secretary of the Cumming Shrine Club. He is a member of St. Columba's Episcopal Church and has served as chalice bearer and lector. He is also a member of the Silver Shoals Chapter #14 Royal Arch Masons.
