District 4 County Commission Seat Gets Another Candidate

Cumming, Ga - Patrick Bell, founder and CEO of Bowler & Blake Limited, announced today he is a candidate for Forsyth County Commission, District 4 on the Republican ticket.

“I am running to restore professionalism to the District 4 Commission seat.” Bell said.  “The manner in which a commissioner conducts the business of the county should reflect the way his constituents want their business enacted.  As an elected official, one must never forget that the business he carries out is not his own, but rather the business of a group of citizens that elected him.  Forsyth County deserves to be represented in a way that makes them confident and proud.”

"I'm appalled by the current leadership in District 4," Bell continues. "It's time to replace the gutter politics, the mudslinging and the “my-way-or-the-highway” attitude of my opponent with professionalism and a dedication to teamwork.”

Bell plans to push for a teamwork atmosphere between the Board of Commissioners, School Board, City Government, county departments, and employees.  Bell feels we all want what is best for our county, so why shouldn’t we work together to achieve that.  He says “Too much time is spent bickering and infighting that could be better spent on the common goal of making Forsyth County a better place to live.”

Professionalism is a Bell hallmark. His company is a specialty apparel firm specializing in development and manufacture of woven silk ties, blazer crests and blazer buttons for such clients as the PGA of America, PGA Tour, European Tour and LPGA Championships. The organizers of the 2004 Ryder Cup Match selected Bell's design as the focal point of all graphics used at the host site.

Bell learned the value of teamwork from his lifelong involvement with the Boy Scouts of America. His father was the local Scoutmaster for many years and his mother served on the PTA for over 5 years.  Bell himself is currently an Assistant Scoutmaster with Boy Scout Troop 254, the Etowah District Webmaster, the District Activities & Civic Service Chairman and also serves on Technology Board of the Northeast Georgia Council of the Boy Scouts of America.  His 14-year-old son, Clayton, is a student at West Forsyth High School and is working on the final requirements for the rank of Eagle Scout.

Bell and wife Amy live in north Forsyth County. Their daughter Melissa is a graduate of North Forsyth High School who now makes her home in south Florida.

Patrick Bell announces a campaign based on professionalism and teamwork and King Richard's only response is to stick out his tongue and chant liar, liar pants on fire. Very professional, commissioner. Very professional.

Finally, a Republican steps up to the plate. Patrick Bell will be a breath of fresh air on the Board of Commissioners. It's time to end the mud slinging and character assassination practiced by David Richard. What an absolute disgrace he has been!

It's going to take us all to get the word out!

My support goes to Patrick Bell. However, if by an awful chance that David Richard were to win the Republican primary, I will throw my support to Jon Flack, the democratic candidate for November.

My main reason is... I do not like my "livilihood," economic or otherwise threatened by someone I've voted for to represent the county. I would never expect that from Jon Flack or Patrick Bell. In fact, I've never known this to happen in the history of Forsyth County. Commissioners have come and gone. They have taken a beating in public opinion, and never threatened anyone to my knowledge.

I've been a lifelong Republican Voter, but I will not compromise my principals for this "Republican" canidate.

...cont.

We are Americans first and Forsyth County residents second. (at least me). American has stayed Great because of her unwillingness to bent, or bow to any kind of tyrannical act. Whether we have thought that it might benefit us financially or enhance our quality of life. The answer is always no. NO, we'll fight to the death to keep our freedoms.

Please go to DavidRichard.info and see what you will find there. You will see why I refuse to bent to this guy.

Lynn,

I'd appreciate it if you would please get on every website that some in this county will read and tell them exactly what you wrote here. That would be the surest way to ensure my overwhelming re-election.

Your support for either of them is the best news I can get from a campaign standpoint.

Oh Golly Gee Dave, stop making me laugh. It makes my rib cage hurt.

Yes, I wrote an article on Cumminghome.com and the Forsyth County News because I wasn't sure about SPLOST. I've never been against SPLOST if it is used right. But, there were a whole lot of questions that weren't being answered. I don't like part of the money going to Great Wolf. I don't think Great Wolf is all that Great for Forsyth County. I'm really not sure how I feel about a huge mall and 12 story buildings. In a way, I think it will be nice. In another way, I worry about what that will do to South Forsyth County. A lot of the SPLOST money will be going toward infrastructure for that. I'm still against $37 million dollars for Green Space raising my property tax, when I have no idea where and how that will be spent. So Dave, you'd better stop being so bossy and hateful. That is why I turned against you.

Also Dave, before you start giving me this whole big spill about how you are against all that stuff, did I say that I voted against SPLOST because of YOU? NO, you had nothing to do with it. The world doesn't revolve around you Dave.

Lynn,

You keep right on posting and don't worry about having to vote Democratic. David Richard has zero chance of being re-elected. In one short week since he announced his candidacy, Patrick Bell's campaign has caught fire and the momentum is building. I will guarantee you Patrick will win this race.

People, wake up here! This "Yahoo" sees why Dave Richard is protecting Gary Smith,((Vote Counter}}. But many of the degenerates in this county will not believe anything on a county level. They only want to complain about national issues. Idiots! Smith stole money and cheated us out of over a million. His budget is $ 300,000.00 x 4 years is higher then other counties the same size. Where did the money go Dave Richard????? Ritchie"Yahoo"Thompson
