My husband and I learned first-hand Tues., 2/5, how difficult it was to find the entrance, in the dark, to Northwoods Surgical Center from Bald Ridge Marina Rd., due to the SPLOST road improvements that are underway. Eventually, we found two workers sitting in a truck and they told us we had to go all the way to the STOP sign, then make a sharp right, and then a left into the Center.
Thanks to both of them we were then able to make the 7 a.m. appointment. I called John Cunard, Director, Forsyth County Engineering and explained the great need for a sign that people could easily see in the dark. There are now 3 signs in place; one a 3ftX4ft Green with a white boarder with the names "Cumming Dental, Georgia Heart Care and Marina 400 office Park", located down just past Turner Road on the left side in the meridian; the second sign reads "Doctor's Office" with an arrow and the third one is down by the stop sign going into Eagle Creek Subdivision and reads "Northwood Surgery/Diagnostic Center" with an arrow pointing back to the clinic and is also green.
THESE SIGNS ARE REFLECTIVE AT NIGHT WHEN LIGHTS SHINE ON THEM.
If you wish to thank Messrs. Cunard and Taylor, call 770-781-2165 or e-mail them at jvcunard@forsythco.com, DATaylor@forsythco.com.
