Two Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office employees recently completed an executive-level training program at Southern Police Institute (S.P.I.) in Louisville, KY, Sheriff Ted Paxton announced today.
The employees, Major David Smith and Lt. Mike Goike, attended the 12-week Certificate Program in Police Executive Leadership Development at the University of Louisville. They graduated from the program on November 6, Sheriff Paxton said.
The course curriculum is designed to develop informed, effective, ethically and technically competent law enforcement managers who are capable of assuming positions of leadership in their respective agencies. Numerous graduates of S.P.I. are among today’s law enforcement leaders directing agencies throughout the United States and abroad.
Maj. Smith was employed with the Sheriff’s Office on January 1, 2001 and is commander of the Uniform Patrol Division. Lt. Goike was employed with the Sheriff’s Office on February 20, 1998 and is assigned to the North Precinct as a shift commander.

Hopefully D.T. Smith is set to replace FCSO Chief Robbie Hamrick who is said to be planning to retire after the first of the year.
Forsyth County has long been overdue to rid themselves of this rejected GBI stooge Robbie Hamrick, who can’t quite seem to differentiate between goldbricking and community service.
