Cumminghome is receiving reports that the pawn shop near dairy queen was broken into, and guns were stolen.
The robbers went in the back door of the store. This morning hwy 9 was closed down to one lane and fire trucks and sheriffs were searching the fields
Schools were under lockdown from about 7:40 to 9:10 - outer doors and classroom doors were locked, but all students could change classes under adult supervision.
According to Captain Frank Huggins of the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, the suspects headed north on hwy 9 and were spotted by a sheriff's deputy driving without headlights. A chase ensued, and the suspects vehicle crashed at Mark Lake Road in North Forsyth County. The suspects fled on foot and escaped the scene.
Investigators discovered later that one suspect was driven to Grady Memorial Hospital by a local resident. The suspect was arrested at Grady.
All of the stolen weapons were recovered.

So what's the latest on the situation. Did they capture the perps? Any description? Surprised that there wasn't more on this in the news.
I think the arrests were handled by cumming police dept Steve, as the crime took place within city limits.
So...what happened to the local resident for aiding and abetting a criminal?
