God bless you matt! Thank you for having the guts that I did'nt have, and thank you for protecting and serving a country that is divided about what you were fighting for. My words or the words of anyone else can't ever be a comfort to the ones who loved you most, but all I can say is that I'm praying for them, and you are what this country is all about!!! God bless you and your family.Go rest high on that mountain........
My Father-in-law (deceased) was a retired Marine, and he once told me "War is Hell...And sometimes you have to go through Hell to find Peace".
May we all come together for this Hero--Sad as it may be--for this Welcome Homecomming in Honor of his Sacrifice.
For Him, We live not in Hell.
For Us, May He rest in Peace.
Ahmen.
This morning members of our community will come together to remind CPL Phillips' family that his sacrafic will not be forgotten. Many of us missed the opportunity to know him personally, but his service and commitment to protect his country is appreciated more than they will ever know.
Our thoughts and prayers are with him, his family and his brothers and sisters in uniform .
