If you fish Lake Lanier, Ken Sturdivant, of the "Original Southern Fishing Report", requests your help.
A new website has been set up for all sportsmen and women to report their fishing trip for stripers. "We want the good AND the bad," stresses Sturdivant.
"Our goal is to provide this information to the Department of Natural Resources. We hope this data will assist them with their decisions about how many fish to stock in the lake. Your participation will help the DNR in this study."
In March of 2006, the DNR tagged 500 stripers lake wide. If you catch a striper with a tag, record the data on the tag and get that data to Reggie Weaver at 770-535-5498.
Reggie will then record it and give you the data about when and where the fish was tagged.
