A 24-year-old man is in custody in the Forsyth County Detention Center charged with felony murder in the death of his father.
According to Forsyth County Sheriff Ted Paxton, Kevin R Puckett, 24, of 8155 Castleberry Farm Drive in northern Forsyth County, has been charged with one count of Murder and one count of Possession of a Firearm during a Commission of a Crime. He is being held without bond.
Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the Castleberry Farm Drive residence at 9:17 p.m. on Friday evening fallowing a 911 call from a family member.
Upon their arrival, deputies found Luther Puckett, 57, dead on the floor of his residence. Investigators advised that Mr. Puckett had been shot multiple times.
Investigators stated that the death was domestic related. They added that Kevin Puckett did reside at the residence with his father at the time of the incident and was arrested at the scene.
Sheriff Paxton added that the investigation is still in its beginning stages and the exact reason for the incident is still unknown.
