The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office will hold a Motorcycle Safety Day on April 5, Sheriff Ted Paxton has announced.
Sponsored jointly by the Sheriff’s Office and Biker’s Dream, Motorcycle Safety Day will feature presentations by members of the Sheriff’s Office Motor Unit on motorcycle safety and free safety inspections for all types of motorcycles, Sheriff Paxton said. It will be held at Biker’s Dream, 5960 Atlanta Highway (Hwy. 9) in Alpharetta, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The event is being held in conjunction with the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety Motorcycle Awareness Campaign. Representatives from the Georgia Motorcycle Safety Program will also be on hand.
In addition, there will be free lunch and hourly door prizes, sponsored by Biker’s Dream.
“Our purpose in holding our first Motorcycle Safety Day is to help our large community of motorcyclists get ready for riding season,” Sheriff Paxton said. “We try to be as proactive as possible in preventing accidents involving motorcycles,” he added.
