Breaking News: Body of Meredith Emerson Found in Dawson County

The body of missing hiker Meredith Emerson has been found in Dawson County. In a news conference held late tonight, authorities told reporters that GBI investigators and Dawson County Sheriff''s deputies foud the body after being led to it by the suspect, Gary Hilton. No further information was released.
This weekend, Meredith Emerson's clothing and ID were discovered in a dumpster at a Quicktrip in Cumming, stained with blood, along with part a seat belt from a white van owned by Gary Hilton. Meredeth Emerson's Dog was discovered at the Kroger near exit 17. Hilton apparently made a phone call from the public phone at Quicktrip about 4:30 pm on Friday.
Witnesses reported seeing Hilton's white van in the Dawson Forest wildlife management area, which led investigators to focus thier search in the area. The search was called off as darkness settled in, but then the suspect, Gary Hilton led authorities to the exact location of the body.
No comment was available from authorities regarding a possible link between this case, the 2004 Patrice Endres Case, or the 1997 Levy Frady Case. All three bodies in these cases were discovered in or near the Dawson Forest area, and all three remain unsolved as of this writing.

While she was alive, and while hundreds of volunteer searchers were being told NOT to search, but to hand out fliers...and while Hilton was doing whatever he was doing with her for three long tortuous depraved days......the Atlanta PD had all the info they needed to have found her WHILE SHE WAS ALIVE. 1. They KNEW that HIlton was the prime suspect. 2. They KNEW that Hilton favored moving his van deep into Forests. 3. They HAD VIDEOTAPE FROM ONE MONTH AGO that showed Hilton illegally camped 2 miles into a private forest. 4. They have 3 unsolved, random abductions from the Cummings area that ENDED WITH THE VICTIMS BODIES BEING DUMPED IN THE DAWSON WILDLIFE AREA wHere Meredith was found. 5. They knew that THE SUSPECT IN ONE OF THE ABDUCTIONS LOOKED LIKE HILTON. 6. They suspected that Hilton was linked to the OTHER abduction and murder of hikers in North Carolina because he was wearing a similar yellow jacket during his abduction of Meredith.
WHY DID THEY NOT SEARCH THE DAWSON WILDLIFE REFUGE?????????
Didn't it occur to ANYONE that THREE UNSOLVED ABDUCTIONS (and probably rapes) from the Cummins area in which the victims ended up at the DAWSON WILDLIFE REFUGE was worth checking out??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
WHY DID THEY NOT USE THE HUNDREDS OF VOLUNTEERS WHO WERE BEGGING TO HELP FIND MEREDITH ALIVE??????????????
Ultimately, the Public solved this case, not the police.
The police proceeded too slowly, and didn't use the resources and information that they had, or else Meredith would be alive today.
Yes, that's it. Why don't we blame the Atlanta police, even though none of this story has taken place in the City of Atlanta? That's the same kind of thinking that blames George Bush for hurricane Katrina.
Keep the blame where it belongs....solely on the shoulders of Gary Hilton. He is the one who did this, not anyone else. The blame is all his.
