Please join us on Saturday, October 4th from 9:00 am until 12 noon as we kick off Crime Prevention Month and Celebrate Safe Communities
The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office and Home Depot have partnered to host a Community Safety Fair at the Home Depot Parking Lot (1000 Marketplace Blvd, Cumming). We're celebrating all who help make Forsyth County a safe place to live. Parents can learn about programs such as Neighborhood Watch, Stranger Danger and other classes geared toward children, the FCSO's Citizens' Law Enforcement Academy, Forsyth County's Community Emergency Response Team, and more. Forsyth County Fire Department will provide fire safety information, Homeland Security will be on hand to fingerprint children, and Georgia State Patrol will be checking child safety seats to insure they are installed properly.
Parents and children will have the opportunity to see and get in lots of different law enforcement and public safety vehicles: patrol cars, the S.W.A.T. truck, motorcycles, fire trucks, ambulances, and even a helicopter! You'll meet the troopers, deputies, firemen, paramedics, K9s, and horses that help keep our community safe.
Mark your calendars, bring a friend, and join us on SATURDAY, October 4th at the Home Depot on Marketplace Boulevard at 9:00 am! We hope you can join the celebration! Please pass this info on to anyone who would like to join us.
