Early Voting for the presidential election began on Friday, September 19th in the form of 'no excuse" absentee voting.  No excuse absentee voting allows for anyone to walk in to the voter registration office at the county administration building and vote absentee.  Voters must complete a form stating that they will not be able to vote on election day, but need not have an "excuse" for doing so.

65 voters turned out for the first day of no excuse absentee voting, and over 200 voted the following Monday.   Advanced voting begins on October 27th at 5  locations in the county.

The week of October 27th You can vote at any of these 5 locations:

Cumming Library
Sharon Forks Library
Midway Park
County Administration Buildling
Public Safety Complex

Voter Registrar Gary Smith expects a high turnout for this presidential election.  Make plans to vote early and you can avoid the rush.

Vote NO for the jail and Sheriff Headquarters!!!!!!!! The County needs to re think this issue when we are not in such a severe economic strain. The numbers need to be re-evaluated to see how the elected officials can save our taxpayers money not try to spend every dollar they can.

Only vote for Bell if you want a serial liar as your county commissioner.

Oh dear Mr. Richard, leave Bell alone as well as us Bell supporters. Stop calling him a liar, because he isn't.

Did I say Go Bell? No I didn't. So..Go Bell!

Sorry, Terry. You may choose to deliberately ignore reality (your specialty in life), but the FACT remains that Patrick Bell is a proven serial liar.

People of principle will not cast a vote for him in this election, so it will be the folks that are ignorant of his history, or the just plain stupid that will vote for him. Either way, if he wins, Forsyth County will deserve what they get in District 4 - a serial liar.

I am a person of principle and voting for Bell and voting NO on the jail.

Regarding the jail we have already spent 7.1 million on the land, how much on the blueprints and drawings? Has there ever been a site selection committee ? or an environmental impact study? or price comparison for money spent on jails in other counties?

Too many questions, not enough answers on this one.

So Mr. Richard you are claiming that you didn't lie about your involvement in attacking the innocent Hansard Family that cost the Taxpayers $239,000.00 and didn't you lie that you attended over twenty legitimate meetings a month in which you have been drawing $2,500.00 a month?

I've now got your allowance records and we will be looking at every entry big mouth. At first glance it appears to me as if you are double dipping, charging for you being a Commissioner at the same time you are claiming commission meetings as a extra to scam us out of the $125.00 too. Many, many entries.I'm very sure the Taxpayers will be so pleased in what you did. But wait they fired your a$$ didn't they Yankee carpetbagger?
