The Forsyth Central High School girl's softball team recently presented
Northside Hospital-Forsyth with a $3,015.50 check to help raise awareness of
breast cancer and the hospital's new Breast Care Center, which opened in
September.

The girl's softball team held a "Pink Out” fundraising game, Sept.18, to
help raise money for their worthy cause.  All the proceeds from admissions,
raffles and student donations were presented to Northside.  The softball
team also was able to meet and speak with breast cancer survivors during the
game.

After the Oct. 11 check presentation to Susan Casella, breast health
coordinator of Northside Hospital's Breast Care Program, the team was taken
on a tour of the new Breast Care Center at Northside Hospital-Forsyth.  Bill
Richardson, the Forsyth Central High School head softball coach, was
extremely proud of the girls and their extraordinary efforts, especially of
senior, Kayla Deak, who truly led the way in the organization and
implementation of the event.

Corinne Milien, the assistant softball coach spoke on behalf the girl's
saying, "the team was honored to be able to personally see that our donation
is going to a good cause.”
