Bring the family out for a day of fun and history at the annual Sawnee Indian Festival and Rendezvous, May 3-4, 2008, at the Cumming Fairgrounds.  Hours on Saturday, May 3 are from 10 AM till 9 PM, and on Sunday, May 4, 12 Noon till 6 PM.

Ticket prices are as follows:
Adults - $8.00
Children (5-12) - $5.00

A full weekend of culture fellowship through arts, entertainment and educational programming.  Witness the brilliant colors and action filled dances of Native American’s best: Fancy dancers, Jingle dancers, Traditional dancers and the popular Hoop dancers.

Learn about Native people as you visit an Indian encampment and walk through a Plains Indian Tepee.  Listen to native story tellers, native flute, native drum and educational sessions on wild animals and birds and native language.

Learn flint napping, tepee construction, earthen cooking, hide tanning, native dance, and primitive skills.  Shop for the perfect gift from the many native arts and crafts vendors (there are many fun kids' gifts, too). Then treat your family to some native foods, such as buffalo burgers, Indian fry bread, gator tail, Indian tacos and roasted corn.

Come join the fun, go back in time and experience the Sawnee Indian Festival and Mountain Man Rendezvous.
