Singles ages 35-65 across North Georgia are always looking for a fun place place to meet other nice singles and dance and mingle. On April 18th, Singles Dances Atlanta has another one of their weekly singles dances which usually brings 250+ singles to Alpharetta. "The singles that come to the dances are always nicely dressed, it's a non-smoking, upscale event and they will dance more than they have in many years" SDA Owner Jeff Crecelius said.
"On the 18th, we have one of our tropical themes and most everyone wears Hawaiian or a tropically colored shirt, skirt or dress. We'll have lighted palm trees and some decorations and this usually lets singles "let their hair down" and have more fun. People just relax more when they have bright colors on". he said.
These dances give singles a place to mingle, dance and meet new friends in a great central location. "We have singles who drive to the dances from probably more than 20 counties because there are no events in their areas which have the quality entertainment we have".
There are times when there are over 200 people on the dance floor which is a huge 2800 hardwood dance floor. This gives everyone lots of room to move around. DJ Jeff uses a fantastic 3500 watt sound system and he plays Rock and Roll, Disco, Top 40 from the 70's, 80's, 90's, 2000's and also some Swing and Shag songs. "We play the best mix of music which keeps the most people on the dance floor for 4 hours straight. At the end of the night, singles are usually pretty tired and have some sore feet because they've danced so much".
Singles Dances Atlanta has these dances which are open to the public and there is a $10.00 cash admission and a cash bar. The dances are at the American Legion, just off Old Milton Parkway in Alpharetta. They do have a dressy casual dress code and more information which can be found on their web site at www.singlesdancesatlanta.com
So don't stay home wishing you had somewhere fun to go. Go dancing and meet new friends.
