Meet the Staff of North Pointe OB/GYN

Meet the three physicians of North Pointe OB/GYN and the midwives that assist them...

The goal of the staff at North Pointe OB/GYN is to offer high quality health care services to women in a friendly and comfortable environment. Providing full obstetrical and gynecological services, North Pointe OB/GYN compassionately treats patients from adolescence through retirement. Who are the members of the North Pointe OB/GYN team? They are a select group of doctors and midwives with impressive backgrounds that underscore their competency and experience and Cumming Home would like to introduce you.

Sean J. Lambert, M.D., is an American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology Board Certified physician. A native of Chicago, Dr. Lambert is a second-generation OB/GYN, earning his medical degree from Emory University. Prior to North Pointe OB/GYN, Dr. Lambert served as a Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at North Fulton Regional Hospital. An avid outdoorsman, Dr. Lambert lives in Roswell with his wife and their two children.

Garry E. Siegel, M.D., is a native of Atlanta and graduate of the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Siegel served as a Chief Resident and Instructor at the University of Alabama in Birmingham where he also completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. In private practice since 1986, Dr. Siegel is also Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a former Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Siegel lives in East Cobb with his wife and two children.

Robert R. Barrett, MS, MD FACOG is from Redondo Beach, California. Obtaining his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati, Dr. Barrett received his residency training at both the Cleveland Clinic and the MetroHealth Medical Center in Ohio. Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics, Dr. Barrett the former Chairman of the Department of Surgery and member of the Ethics Board at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Washington, where he was also in private practice. Dr. Barrett joined North Pointe after moving to Alpharetta with his wife and two children to be closer to family.

All three North Pointe OB/GYN physicians are assisted by Certified Nurse Midwives Margaret A. Strickhouser, C.N.M, MN, Linda Bell, C.N.M, Kim Storey, C.N.M, MSN, and Elizabeth Robin Sherrod, C.N.M.

Certified Midwife Strickhouser was part of the areas first midwifery practice at Douglas General Hospital and has delivered over 3000 healthy babies in her 25+ years of practice. Nurse-midwife Bell is a former Red Cross volunteer and has been a nurse-midwife since 1976. Bell no longer delivers babies, but is still assisting the practice as a nurse.

Storey, an Atlanta native, is a graduate of the Frontier School of nurse midwifery and is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives. In addition to her roll at North Pointe, Storey is a mother of four and an advocate against domestic violence and active in other family causes.

Lastly, certified nurse midwife Elizabeth Robin Sherrod rounds out the North Pointe group. A graduate of Thomas College and Philadelphia University, Sherrod has always had an interest in women’s health and has a wide range of nursing experience from labor and delivery to ICU. Sherrod is the mother of five children.
