Summer Camp at Klub Kids

Klub Kids is the venue for one of the most exciting summer camps in the Cumming, Suwanee and Johns Creek area. As many who drive on Peachtree Parkway everyday will attest, Klub Kids is pretty much an institution that has been around since the late 1980’s. But what many do not realize from the parkway is the size of the campus, which appears to be deceptive. Parents who take time to walk in for a tour are pleasantly surprised by the size and the amenities of this campus. Klub Kids is a 15,000 sq. ft. facility split between two buildings in an extra large 3.25 acre campus. This is not a stereo typical childcare center, but rather a great setup for a preschool, with extra large classrooms, swimming pool, soccer field, basketball court, large play areas and a gym building. With a licensed occupancy capacity for 360, it is factually one of the largest preschools.

A typical day at the camp starts as early as 6:30am with a healthy breakfast prepared in the center’s kitchen. As one enters the front doors they are greeted by a friendly staff and then by the aromatic reception of blueberry muffins, cinnamon toast or other fresh breakfast items. It is a typical morning humor at Klub Kids to hear parents wanting to stay back for breakfast! After a wholesome breakfast, kids are energized and ready to get started with an action packed day.

All kids in the morning get started with the much needed dose of exercise such as stretches, jumping jacks or push ups. Cornucopia of activities that follows is truly captivating for the young minds. Arts & crafts, music, Spanish lessons, science club, story time and airplane modeling are just a few in the long list. On special days these activities are further substantiated by magic show, juggler show, July 4th extravaganza and in-house fieldtrips. In-house field trips are fun group activities conducted by experienced coaches. When it is time for lunch, kids enjoy another hearty meal and often get treated to ice creams and other cool surprises. After lunch, kids take a break from the packed morning activities and recharge for the afternoon.

There is no better place to be in the afternoons than in a cool pool! Klub Kids is probably the only center that has an in ground pool. Life jackets are a must when around the pool and there are always a couple of lifeguards to keep watch. Nicely decorated with flowers, sun shades and pool chairs, one could mistake it for a hotel. After a nice swim, the kids spend the hottest part of the day in a gym equipped with air hockey, pool and foos ball tables! Late afternoon when the sun goes further down, kids have a snack and then enjoy outdoor activities in the large play areas. Though the center closes at 6:30pm, most kids cannot seem to get enough of the fun and look forward to being back early next morning.

Klub Kids not only does a great job of organizing this camp, but at $135/week it seems to be an incredible value. There are many kids who pay additional fees to enroll in advanced camps, such as, soccer, karate, tennis, playball or swimming. In an advanced camp an experienced coach or instructor provides focused lessons and training. These camps help kids develop and sharpen their sports skills. Also in the cards are an outdoor fieldtrips for an additional nominal fee.

As many would know, Klub Kids is an inclusive center and provides programs for kids of special needs. This year they are rolling out a summer program for these very special kids! For those who are interested in this program or in the basic or advanced camps, you are welcome to attend an Open House on May 18th, 2008 at 11am. Klub Kids is ideally located at 1607 Peachtree Parkway, Cumming, GA 30041. They can also be reached at www.klubkids.com or 770 889 7452 or info@klubkids.com.

Good evening, I am working with a company that provides tutoring services. My question is would your business be interested in having the option of incorporating into your existing program an educational component if their isn't one already in place?

Our format will look as follows:

When the student begins he/she will be assessed to determine what skill(s) he or she is deficient in.
After the assessment the parent(s) is notified via conference call or a meeting concerning the areas of deficiencies. The tutor will devise a curriculum and a lesson plan specifically for the student. The student will use a laptop and educational software that is align with the state standardize test to help close the gap of the deficiency. The tutor will assist the student while he or she works through the software program? The parent(s) will receive a bi-weekly progress report detailing the students progress.

How often will the student participate in the tutoring program. The student can participate for the duration of the summer camp program

Where will the program take place? The program will take place at the summer camp location.

What grades levels will this program take? The grades levels are from 1st through 6th grade

What are the hours of the tutoring program? The tutoring will take place during the designated time in which the summer camp program takes place.

How big are the class sizes? For every 8 student there will be 1 tutor

Are the tutors certified teachers? Yes, but the tutors aid will have 60 plus hours of college credits.

The cost of the program: The cost of the program is $25.00 per week for the duration of the summer camp program.
If interested feel free to contact me at your earliest convenience. Ms. Nelson 678-583-9392
