Scottie-Lane Smith, a sixth grade student at Covenant Christian Academy in Cumming, has a short story included in the recently released 2007 edition of the Anthology of Short Stories by Young Americans. This national publication provides a forum through which selected young authors can see their work and the work of other students published in an actual book. The Anthology of Poetry, Inc. editors review each submission and select works for publication based upon their character and plot development, originality, and audience appeal. Scottie-Lane’s winning entry brings the total number of 2007 winners from Covenant to twenty. Nineteen stories written by Covenant middle and high school students were also published in the 2007 edition.

Congratulations to Scottie-Lane Smith and the other published students.
