Jesus is the reason for the Season, and this year in honor of His birth, the staff and volunteers at Whispering Hope distributed Christmas gifts to 39 women and approximately 108 children in the Forsyth and surrounding communities. 

Each year, the center holds a Christmas drive, and some of the local churches, businesses, girls groups and moms clubs get involved, bringing massive amounts of Christmas gifts for the clients who continue in the programs at Whispering Hope.   This year, we had 39 women who were actively involved OR were graduating from, the program.  Those 39 women have 100+ children, and each one of those children received a gift bag full of goodies, toys, Christmas outfits and candy.

Whispering Hope continues this tradition every year, in honor of the Wisemen who brought gifts for Baby Jesus.  We at the center know and recognize that we could not do it without your help, so let us take this opportunity to thank you ALL for everything you do for the women in need who come through the doors at the center.  Every effort, from the largest to the smallest, is appreciated.  We even get groups who want to sponsor the neediest families for Christmas dinner.  Every child should have a wonderful Christmas, and even though we know that we could not possibly take on every child in the United States, we are pleased to take on the children of Forsyth, Dawson and Cherokee counties during this Holiday season.  It is in awe that we watch as they open their gifts and their tiny faces light up at the toys and candy they each receive.  

So once again, thank you to all who have helped make this possible.  And a special shout out to the Girls of Grace, a group of young teens who went out and hand picked items for each child this year, what a wonderful group of teens.  They are our future, and that makes us proud to say so.
