Art contests bring outdoors inside

Hey, kids! Is this frigid weather keeping you inside? Cure your boredom by drawing or painting a picture for one of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ art contests!

The “Give Wildlife A Chance” poster contest is open to kindergarten through 5th-graders, and this year’s theme is “The Sights and Sounds of Wild Georgia.” The deadline to submit artwork is March 10. Also, the new Youth Birding T-shirt Art Contest is open to all grade levels, and the deadline to turn in native bird pictures is March 1.
