When Barbara Piccolo sought to apply her education in the interior design field and experience in the real estate business to her next endeavor of helping people reorganize and redesign their house to improve its marketability, she had to come up with an appropriate name for her new business. Eventually it became apparent to her that helping people – particularly those planning to sell their homes- improve the “first impressions” viewers have of the home was really the essence of what she does.

After attending the College of Applied Arts, obtaining a degree from the Graduate Arts Institute of Atlanta and also attending the Real Estate Institute of Georgia, Piccolo wanted to merge her well-developed artistic skills with the business acumen she garnered from her five years in the real estate business. Her response was to create a company that helped people get their home ready to sell by redesigning their home with an emphasis on getting rid of the kind of clutter that was neither aesthetically pleasing nor conducive to living a constructive life. So by helping people create a proper sense of balance in their living environment, she also enhances the marketability of her clients’ homes. Hence the genesis of the name “First Impressions” for her business.

Piccolo works with her clients on matters of interior design, color selection for rooms, staging consultations and room makeovers. Her years of experience in the real estate business gives her an excellent idea as to what potential homebuyers find attractive in a home and also gives her ideas about what might be a good to fit to a home’s style. With continuing education classes, Piccolo is able to help her clients stay on top of all the latest trends in home design and staging.

For most people, their home is their most valuable asset and the material possession that matters most to their family. If you wish to enhance its value, First Impressions is the right place to turn. The address of First Impressions is 1477 Edenham Lane, Cumming, Georgia. To set up an appointment you can call their office at (678) 770-3263. Piccolo works within the entire metro Atlanta area.
