Forsyth County Master Gardener Alan Stagg will be presenting “The 3 T’s of Pruning: Tools, Technique and Timing” on Saturday, October 4, at 11:00am at the Cumming Library. Mr. Stagg will be presenting topics including why to prune, how to prune and when to prune. The tools you need and when you would use which ones will be discussed. Pruning techniques such as shearing vs. thinning, pencil pruning vs. topping and yes, “Crepe Murder,” will be addressed. In addition to being a Master Gardener, Mr. Stagg is a professional landscape designer and installer who is Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Certified, a Licensed Grower by the Georgia Department of Agriculture and Outdoor Water Use Certified by the Georgia Urban Agriculture Council.
