The annual “Bring One for the Chipper” event hosted by Keep Forsyth County Beautiful will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2008
Forsyth County residents recycled 6,745 trees at county drop-off sites last year.
Dispose your Christmas tree in an environmentally-friendly way. Chipper trees will be recycled into mulch for playgrounds, public beautification projects, wildlife habitat and homeowner landscaping projects.
"Chipper also provides a great opportunity for parents to talk to their children about the importance of caring for the environment. Forsyth County residents are encouraged to support their local keep Georgia Beautiful affiliate and participate in environmental projects year round. Our children are never too young to learn about caring for our beautiful state”, said Mike Beatty, Commissioner - Georgia's Department of Community Affairs.
