It's going to be a sad day for Forsyth County residents and others who have enjoyed the unique Cuban sandwiches and accompanying delights that The Cuban Press has been serving up for the past three years. Husband and wife team, Amanda and Blake Weihrauch, are closing the doors to the Midway-area eatery on December 16th due to the success of other business ventures.

Says Amanda Weihrauch, "We want to thank you for the past three years of your donning our doorstep and enjoying our cuisine. We have enjoyed the recognition of winning the Best Hot Sandwich in the County and all of the involvement with the schools and charity organizations of Forsyth County. Over these past three years, we have met some amazing people and experienced many blessings associated with operating a dining establishment in your neighborhood."

Weihrauch continues, "It is with great sadness that we must announce that The Cuban Press will be closing on Saturday, December 16, 2006. Wonderful changes in our personal lives have made it impossible for us to split our focus any longer, and we would doing The Cuban Press an injustice by trying to stay involved."

The Cuban Press fans can get their fill of authentic Cuban sandwiches and accompanying sides for just a few more days, and the Weihrauch's are offering a coupons patrons can print out and use as many times as they wish through the closing. (See below.)
