Volunteer Opportunities Still Remain for the 2006 Ford Tour de Georgia and Taste of Forsyth Events-Body

Don't miss out on your chance to be a part of one of Cumming and Forsyth County's most historic events ever. For the very first time, the City of Cumming and Forsyth County will host the final staged start and ‘staged sprint’ events for the 2006 Ford Tour de Georgia on Sunday, April 23, 2006.

The Ford Tour de Georgia is America’s premier professional cycling event and rolling festival and highest ranking professional cycling race outside of Europe. Spectators from all over, including international media, will be in Cumming, following the Tour's professional cyclists. Be a part of this historical day by volunteering your time.

The 4th Annual Taste of Forsyth, hosted by Family Haven, takes place in conjunction with the Ford Tour de Georgia, and will feature delectable food and beverage samplings from some of Forsyth County's finest eateries, along with a business and arts and crafts expo, and loads of fun all-day family entertainment. Volunteers are still needed for this festive event, too.

Volunteers are needed in the following areas:

· Course Marshals

· Hospitality

· Media Office/Communications

· Security

· Site Decoration

· Site Restoration

· Volunteer Check-In
