Over the past few weeks, the Heating Energy Assistance Team (H.E.A.T.), Inc., an Atlanta-based nonprofit organization that provides energy assistance statewide to low-income Georgians, has seen the volume of calls double with Georgians asking for assistance. However, with Federal funds being cut in half and a decrease in public donations, many may be left out in the cold this winter...
