North Georgia Autism Center, founded in 2005 by Jessica Pugh, has moved to a new location at 1575 Dahlonega Hwy in Cumming. Providing one-on-one sessions working with autistic and developmentally disabled children, North Georgia Autism Center's new location has a larger facility with an outside play area and provides the center with more opportunities for growth according to Pugh.
Pugh, who has a Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and Developmental Disabilities, is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and has worked with children with autism and developmental disabilities for over ten years. She began the center out of a desire to use her education and experience to provide localized assistance to autistic and developmentally disabled children and their families. The primary mission of North Georgia Autism Center is to provide autism resources to the Forsyth community, including center and in-home sessions, social skills groups, sibling groups, family counseling, and school consultations.
