A recent survey by thechurchreport.com ranks North Point Community Church as one of the nation’s fastest growing and most influential churches. Nine Georgia churches emerged to the list of the 50 most influential churches in the nation.

Topping the list was Saddleback of Lake Forest, CA led by Rick Warren (Author - The Purpose Driven Life) North Point Community Church was listed in the #3 spot.

Pastor Andy Stanley and his Father Charles Stanley were both on the list of 50. Both are currently leading multi-campus churches. Dr. Charles Stanley is pastor of First Baptist Church (more than 6,000 attendance) of Atlanta and Andy is pastor of North Point Community Church (more than 18,000 attendance) in Alpharetta.

Churches receiving the highest number of recommendations tended to be churches that offer conferences that share leadership, organizational, staffing and ministry principles, priorities and procedures with other church leaders. Eighteen of the top 20 churches have at least one annual conference. While some of the churches only share their own practices and procedures, others share their own while also allowing emerging churches to participate as contributors at their conferences.
