Castleberry Road Baptist Church extends a warm invitation to Forsyth countians to attend its revival, slated for Sunday, July 22 through Wednesday, July 25. The church is located at 7225 Castleberry Road in Cumming.
According to Pastor Scott Gilbert, the fostering of a welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere is the fundamental mission of his church. “We hope that everyone who enters our door will feel our genuine concern and friendship,” he says.
Founded in 1996, Castleberry Road Baptist Church has several ongoing programs for youths. “We are so excited about our Awana program,” exudes Pastor Gilbert, referring to the popular children’s ministry that combines Bible study, scripture memorization and games. “We truly feel this is a fun way to plant the seed of God’s word into our young people.” The Awana program is held every Sunday from 4 to 5:45 p.m. The church also involves teenagers in various community service projects and holds Vacation Bible School in the fall.
The church holds services in its 225 seat sanctuary on Sunday and Wednesday. Sunday School, for all ages, convenes at 10 a.m., with morning and evening worship Sundays at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., respectively. Childcare is provided during Sunday School and the 11 o’clock service. Bible study is offered Wednesdays at 6 p.m.
