Dr. James Dobson’s group from Focus on the Family will be arriving in Forsyth County on July 29th to visit Whispering Hope Women’s Resource & Pregnancy Center. This long awaited visit will take place at the Family Center in Cumming Square in Whispering Hope’s new facilities.
After many months of preparation for the move to the new office, and many reports to be filed, the center has finally made it to this point, and we welcome Dr. Dobson’s group in visiting our new site.
The purpose of the visit is to help Whispering Hope restructure staffing and faculty at the women’s center and to do a site review in hopes of winning a grant to purchase a new 4D ultrasound machine. Winning the grant would enable Whispering Hope to provide better medical care to low income women, single women, and teen moms for free.
The site visit will help Whispering Hope become a licensed medical facility, offering limited medical care for pregnant women; with a nurse on staff full time to take blood pressure, weight and pulse readings, while going over nutrition and diet during pregnancy, all for free.
The women’s center’s new facility will open right after the Focus site visit is completed, and an open house is scheduled for some time in September, before the annual banquet on September 25th.
The banquet will be held again this year at the beautiful Lakeview Center in Dawsonville and we are currently looking for table hosts to help with seating arrangements.
Look for more upcoming news and updates from the Focus site visit and the Fall Banquet in an article next month.
