And Cumming City Park offers Aerobics & Fitness classes Monday through Friday at varied times—both morning and evening...
Regular aerobic exercise not only is a great way to manage your weight but also can help you to live a longer, healthier life. The Mayo Clinic reports that regularly scheduled aerobic exercise can reduce the risk of coronary artery diseases, high blood pressure, risk of stroke and improve cholesterol levels.
During aerobic exercise, your body takes in more oxygen, pumps blood faster and more forcefully, increases the diameter and number of small blood vessels and releases endorphins as you repeatedly move the large muscles in your arms, legs and hips. Even though you may become tired during the activity, over the long term it can increase stamina and reduce fatigue. Aerobic exercise is also known to reduce stress and has even been found to improve sexual performance according to a study conducted at Harvard School of Public Health.
As you grow older aerobic exercise can help you maintain mobility and stay independent. Aerobic exercise helps muscles to stay strong—reducing risks of falls and fractures.
