Let's hope David Richard shows up. After the beating he took from Patrick Bell in the GOP debate last night I wouldn't be surprised if he had "other commitments."
For those who missed it, Patrick absolutely destroyed the arrogant Mr. Richard. At the end of the evening, he caught Richard in an outright lie.
Two years ago, Richard posted on his website that a water withdrawal permit for Forsyth County was "right around the corner." That was two years ago!
Last month he stated the county is "this close" to obtaining the permit. So Patrick asked him to name a single person on either the EPD, the Board of Commissioners or the the city council who agreed with him.
Visibly shaken by being caught in a lie, Richard babbled on for two minutes about the "nice" letters the EPD had sent but couldn't name a single person to back up his preposterous lie.
Let's give him a second chance shall we? OK David, let's try this again. Give us a name!
You claim to hate liars. So, I'd hate to think you're lying to the voters. What's that name again? C'mon anyone at EPD who agrees we're "this close" to getting that permit. Anyone on the Board of Commissioners? Anyone on the city council?
Debra,
I have watched the entire debate between Mr. Bell and Mr. Richard. Perhaps you should also take another look. Mr. Richard clearly presented a clear platform and a proven track record of looking out for the Citizens of Forsyth County.
Can Mr. Richard be blunt, rude etc - the answer is yes - but we are electing someone who will be the voice of the people, vote the Will of the people and not the City of Cumming, not the out of town developers but the citizens of Forsyth County.
Mr. Bell by not supporting the SPLOST is clearly not in tune with the folks in the County.
Mr Richard... errr... I mean srpirkle,
You essentially have just said in the above post that the citizens of Forsyth that you are "to be the voice of" are "blunt, rude etc". How much more condescending of an attitude can one have towards a group of people to supposedly represent?
Being "blunt and rude" is done by choice and shows a gross lack of class and even lack of respect for ones self. That is truly sad.
