Where will you find 200-300 of the friendliest and nicest dressed singles ages 35-65 every Friday night? At Singles Dances Atlanta in Alpharetta.

They are making many new friends and dancing to great dance music on a huge dance floor with an awesome sound system and DJ Jeff Crecelius is their host.

Singles Dances Atlanta is hosting their 4th Annual Cupid's Hop dance on Friday, February 15th. Every week singles and dating couples come dancing and usually go home with very sore feet since they haven't danced this much in years. They come from many of Georgia's 20+ metro counties including Forsyth, North Fulton, Gwinnett, Cobb, Cherokee, Hall and all around the metro area.

Singles ask each other to dance in a low pressure, fun environment which is a terrific alternative to the bar scene", Crecelius said. "90%+ of all the ladies come alone and have felt safe doing so for 5+ years. Besides having a great environment for everyone, we also have on-site security and a very well lit parking area."

"We have a fairly strict dress code with no jeans or jean skirts, corduroys or cargo pants, No T-shirts, sneakers or hats. A nice collared dress shirt, Polo Shirt with collar or dress sweater or mock turtleneck is fine. This is to ensure the quality of the dances."

 
The dances are held at the American Legion is Alpharetta at 201 Wills Rd at the corner of Old Milton Parkway. In the past, the Legion was only known for Country music and had no dress code. Singles Dances Atlanta has a very upscale environment and draws a much more upscale group of singles.

"We have the highest number of Social Singles, Church Singles groups ever assembled at one time every week. The highest percentage are individual dancers. We also have many people who do free-style and ballroom-style dancing. We play rock and roll, disco, Swing, Top 40, Shag and a wide variety of fun fast dance music as well as a 50/50% mix of ladies choice and gent's choice slow songs. This is so everyone has the chance to ask anyone to dance.

For the first-time singles, they have 3 "Jump-Start" tables with a Hostess who introduces all the new people to each other and to the hundreds of regulars who are mingling. The Jump-Start tables have been a tremendous success because in the past, you would have to sit with a bunch of people you hardly knew. Now, our hostess introduces you to other new singles so you immediately have someone to talk with and then you will be up on the dance floor quickly. It's a great first-time dance experience!
 
The dance will also feature Waltz Lessons with Award winning instructor Pat Korn from 7:15-8:20 and then the regular dance music format will begin These lessons are included in the price of the dance. Please be in line at 7:00 for the lessons. The regular dance is from 8:00-12:00. There is a $10.00 Cash admission and a cash bar. Dressy casual attire please!
